In August we went camping to local Willard Bay with our good friends, the Gabriels (and their sister's family, Ashley & Oscar). Josh's friend from work met us and took us out on his boat. He was so good to give all of us rides on the tube and took the boys out early to wake-board that morning. It was a little overcast & choppy that day ~ so we couldn't be quite as wild as we would've but it was still a ton of fun!! That night we roasted smores over the fire ~ Kristen & Ashley introduced us to "Reese's" smores, "Snickers"smores, and "Fudge-striped cookie" smores. Mmmmmmm ~ (I'm a huge sucker for sweets) It was a great time! ~ Thanks for organizing it, Kristen & Josh

Dan & Missy came to visit this last month. We were so excited to see them, especially because they're expecting their first baby! Tammy hosted a baby shower for Missy at her house & we were all able to hang out down there. It was a great turn-out & she got lots of cute baby boy things. Then, Sunday, Dan came and put on an awesome fireside for our ward. It was supposed to be for the Young Women & Men but our entire ward tried to squeeze into our Multi-purpose room. So funny (I'm sure we violated the fire code). He showed a great slide-show & talked about what it's like protecting the President. He encouraged the YW/YM to get involved in their community & government, to uphold the constitution, etc. It was really interesting & powerful. Afterwards he passed out some neat collectibles from the white house. Everyone in our ward was really affected & they've all been talking about it for weeks. Thanks again Dan!! It meant a lot to us!
Hangin' in the backyard: Here's my Old Navy ad ~ hee he! (Those Rileys, aren't they cute?)
I'm not sure who started it, but someone challenged us to do the "spider" on the swings. (Do you remember that, from when we were little?)
Megan set up a little salon downstairs (hence, all the pigtails on everyone). Not sure if you can see her sign but it says: "The Hare SLon
Come and I will do your hare haw evr you want"
She's so darn cute!!
We decided a few weeks back to have a yard sale with our good friends, the Tretos. They're cleaning house so they had about 2/3 as much stuff as us! Too bad there weren't very many yard-salers out that day. But we didn't mind ~ it was so fun to catch up & joke around again. It's been too long Ambie & Ed! Noni, Addie & Calista were swinging outside :)
Okay, so everyone we know has ALWAYS talked about Bear Lake and how wonderful it is. So we decided to head up there one weekend and just swim with the kids. It was gorgeous! The water was so clear and we enjoyed playing on the sandy beach. We'd recommend it to anyone! (Although we forgot to take pictures until we were already up the mountain on the way back)
Dave made a bed for Addie in her window sill. She pulled a bunch of her animals in there and was able to look at the moon & stars as she fell asleep. She actually slept there the whole night ~ so cute!
We found a neat trail along the bench, over-looking Willard, and took a nice hike recently. Unfortunately it started raining on us but we still enjoyed ourselves
In August we celebrated our 8th Anniversary. Yeah ~ We made it past the 7-year itch! J/K. It was so much fun this year! We left the kids with Tammy & headed to Salt Lake overnight. We played at Raging Waters all day ~ most fun we've had in a long time!(it was a little over-cast so it was totally dead there. We got on each of the slides with no lines!! ~ that's why we look so "spent" in the picture). He took me to dinner and then to a beautiful Hilton Suite. I felt like we were honey-mooners again. We hung out at the pool that night, which was on a deck with lighted trees & you could see all the stars in the sky. We had it to ourselves for the most part too. It was so nice to talk & not get cut off by some small screaming child, for once! The next day we picked up Addie & Bree and decided to take them to the Zoo for the day. It was such a great weekend!! Thanks again Honey ~ I'm SO grateful to have you in my life and look forward to many, many more wonderful years with you.
