Bree ~ 7 months old

Bree recently started eating solids. She took cereal really well in the beginning! Then when I bragged about that, she stopped. Lil' stinker

Some left-over Summer clips

She said "Mommy, take a picture, take a picture!"

This is the carpet rose from Dave's parent's property, that burned down. Still can't believe how it's thriving!! (it was a tiny little twig that he brought back)

Cute Girls

I'm so glad they love each other so much. Here's ALL our babes ~ Addie's idea. Love it! First bike ride together too.

Visit with Grandpa & Aunt Trudy

Dave's Grandpa & Aunt Trudy came to visit from California last week. We could hardly believe he came all that way (being in his 90's) but we were so excited to get to see him. Addie didn't remember him very well but loved talking to him & all the attention she got from him. (I had told her ahead of time that she had to be very gentle & quiet ~ no screaming or running around ~ when he was here, or she could make him feel bad). So she kept whispering to everyone to "be gentle with him or you could make Grandpa sick". Hee hee ;) Silly girl. She did a great job though and before he left they exchanged some sweet kisses on the cheek. SO cute! ~ although we had a hard time catching it with the camera. Grandpa & Trudy ~ thanks for coming by the house, it was wonderful seeing you!!

Deer in the backyard

We've had deer come in our backyard from the field before but not usually in the morning. This was the surprise one Saturday morning. Addie was pretty excited! (He was chomping on the left-overs of our apples that fell off the tree)

Fall is Here

Fall is definitely here & we're loving it! We went up to Sherwood Hills (up the canyon from where we live) to see the foliage a couple weeks ago. Just wanted to take a nice walk & soak up the new crisp Fall air. It's so beautiful up there. Reminded us a little of the East coast again. Just wonderful!

Just starting to change ~ not quite East coast but still pretty!

Lovin' those wooded paths & roads!

First Daddy/Daughter Fishing Trip

Dave took Addie up to Mantua Reservoir recently for their first daddy/daughter fishing excursion. He bought her, her first "Barbie" fishing poll. And . . . It was a success! They were able to catch a good-size brown trout on Daddy's poll. She was so proud & didn't wince one bit about reeling it in, pulling it up & holding it to show it off. Such a funny lil' girl ~ She called it a "Nemo" fish :)

Just about 18 inches ~ pretty good!

Brazilian Festival!

Salt Lake had a Brazilian Festival a few weekends ago at the Gateway. Dave served his mission in Brazil so we decided to check it out (some day he'll actually take me there ~ wink wink). It was kind-of small but WAY fun. They had a parade, brazilian music, performances, brazilian food (our favorite), all sorts of booths, and much more!

They had a parade, dancers & Capoeira (kind-of dance-fighting, etc. ~ very entertaining!!

Lotsa canning!

Well, we took up canning this year. We live right down the "fruit-way" so we had to take advantage of the awesome peaches here. Not to mention, our own fruit trees did pretty well. All in all ~ we canned salsa, pickles, peaches, pears, apple sauce & apricot freezer jam. It was a lot of work but it was really fun learning & being able to do it together. Yay! We did it!

Addster's in Preschool!!

Addie started Preschool recently & it has been going GREAT!! We're both so excited. She is learning so much & interacting with everyone there. She comes home singing all the songs she learns each day. And it's given me a break when she's gone, as well.

First day of school ~ she was so cute!

These are off my cell phone, so they're not that good. This was Addie's first show-n-tell. She is a master bug catcher ~ so we brought a poster of pictures of some of her bugs and her bug net. She actually caught a baby snake in her bug catcher the night before & ended up bringing that as well. Haa haaa ~ freaked out some of the teachers!

Ty's baptism

Our nephew, Tyler, turned 8 and was baptized last month. It was so neat to be there with him. Bill (his dad) baptized & confirmed him and it was the first time I saw someone get emotional while performing the ordinance ~ so sweet :) Sorry I was a dork & didn't get many pictures.

Trip to Uintas

We took a family trip to the Uintas recently. It was so so gorgeous! We stayed in Park City & drove through the State Park during the day. We saw waterfalls, went hiking, fishing & spotted lots of wildlife (finally saw a moose! ~ video @ the bottom). In was so nice just to get away & explore a new & beautiful area. If you see double pictures of Bree throughout ~ it's just because she's makes the funniest faces lately. Lil' one cracks me up!

Addie was singing a really silly version of "Jesus wants me for a Sunbeam" while hiking the trail. And, we finally spotted a Moose in the wild!! Sorry, we're excited cause we've lived in Maine, of all places, & NEVER saw a moose until now.
