Baby Maddy is 2!!

My sister, Brooke's, baby girl turned 2 while my parents were still here. She had a darling rainbow cake, made out of M&M's and marshmallows (she was so excited). Can't believe she's this big already ~ cutie-pie! I'm still calling her "baby" Maddy

Add had lots of love for Uncle Jordo ;)

Hiking up to the "B"

Okay, this is the "B" for Brigham City. We made a last minute decision, a few weeks ago ~ to hike up to it, cause we really wanted to get out of the house. The crazy thing is, we didn't know where the trail started. So, we found part of a trail and then made our "own" way for the rest of it. It was fun ~ but a little challenging, with two tired & cold kiddos. Once we got to the top ~ it was very rewarding and quite the beautiful site with the sun setting! Poor Cutter slipped on a rock and slit his pad open while we were up there. We had to rip Breanna's receiving blanket & wrap it around his foot. Lil' trooper made it all the way down that way ~ good dog! Unfortunately it was getting dark by the time we got to the B, so we really had to carve our way down (in other words ~ sliding down the mountain as fast as we could, for most of it). Eek! We all survived though and now we can say we climbed to the B! ;)

Pumpkin patch

Our friends, Kristen & Max, met us at the local pumpkin stand recently. They had this cute little hay maze for the kids to run though & Kristen tried out her new camera on them while they played. They had so much fun! Thanks for the cute pics, Kristen!

Bree ~ 7 months old

Bree recently started eating solids. She took cereal really well in the beginning! Then when I bragged about that, she stopped. Lil' stinker

Some left-over Summer clips

She said "Mommy, take a picture, take a picture!"

This is the carpet rose from Dave's parent's property, that burned down. Still can't believe how it's thriving!! (it was a tiny little twig that he brought back)

Cute Girls

I'm so glad they love each other so much. Here's ALL our babes ~ Addie's idea. Love it! First bike ride together too.

Visit with Grandpa & Aunt Trudy

Dave's Grandpa & Aunt Trudy came to visit from California last week. We could hardly believe he came all that way (being in his 90's) but we were so excited to get to see him. Addie didn't remember him very well but loved talking to him & all the attention she got from him. (I had told her ahead of time that she had to be very gentle & quiet ~ no screaming or running around ~ when he was here, or she could make him feel bad). So she kept whispering to everyone to "be gentle with him or you could make Grandpa sick". Hee hee ;) Silly girl. She did a great job though and before he left they exchanged some sweet kisses on the cheek. SO cute! ~ although we had a hard time catching it with the camera. Grandpa & Trudy ~ thanks for coming by the house, it was wonderful seeing you!!

Deer in the backyard

We've had deer come in our backyard from the field before but not usually in the morning. This was the surprise one Saturday morning. Addie was pretty excited! (He was chomping on the left-overs of our apples that fell off the tree)

Fall is Here

Fall is definitely here & we're loving it! We went up to Sherwood Hills (up the canyon from where we live) to see the foliage a couple weeks ago. Just wanted to take a nice walk & soak up the new crisp Fall air. It's so beautiful up there. Reminded us a little of the East coast again. Just wonderful!

Just starting to change ~ not quite East coast but still pretty!

Lovin' those wooded paths & roads!

First Daddy/Daughter Fishing Trip

Dave took Addie up to Mantua Reservoir recently for their first daddy/daughter fishing excursion. He bought her, her first "Barbie" fishing poll. And . . . It was a success! They were able to catch a good-size brown trout on Daddy's poll. She was so proud & didn't wince one bit about reeling it in, pulling it up & holding it to show it off. Such a funny lil' girl ~ She called it a "Nemo" fish :)

Just about 18 inches ~ pretty good!

Brazilian Festival!

Salt Lake had a Brazilian Festival a few weekends ago at the Gateway. Dave served his mission in Brazil so we decided to check it out (some day he'll actually take me there ~ wink wink). It was kind-of small but WAY fun. They had a parade, brazilian music, performances, brazilian food (our favorite), all sorts of booths, and much more!

They had a parade, dancers & Capoeira (kind-of dance-fighting, etc. ~ very entertaining!!
