Visit w/ the Gardners

My family recently came out to be here for my nephew (Nate's) baptism. They stayed with me for a few days first so we had a chance to visit. Then we went down for the baptism. Afterwards we went down to Thanksgiving Point so we could catch the pumpkin contest (biggest/heaviest pumpkin). It was cool! Congrats Nate! You're a great example to the other kiddos in the family.

Canning Apples

We didn't get as good of a crop as we usually would this year but we were still able to can our apples from the apple tree a few weeks back. We got about 15 quarts. Not bad! The neighbor boys next door came over and wanted to help. It was cute. They had a good time :)

Dave's mom loaned us her nifty peeling machine (saved our lives!)

Happy 9th Anniversary, Sweetie!

We celebrated our 9th Anniversary a few weeks back. Went down to Salt Lake and stayed in a romantic hotel, got some yummy seafood at Red Lobster, went to a cheesy romantic concert (Peter Cetera ~ from Chicago) , then went back to where we met (BYU campus) the next day. We checked out all the old places we used to hang out and went for a nice bike-ride on the Provo River trail where we always used to roller-blade. It was SO nice and I loved spending more one-on-one time with my awesome & sexy husband. Thanks Brooke for helping with the kiddos & hotel. It made our weekend!! David ~ I'm so lucky to have you in my life! I love you so much!!

Not the best picture of Peter but this was from the concert

Hard to tell but you can see the "Y" for BYU on the mountain behind me (to the left).

Hike up Ogden Canyon

We went for a family hike a few weeks back. Hoping for fall weather but it ended up being a lot hotter than expected ~ hence all the rolled up jeans ;) It was a neat little hike up to a waterfall. Sad on the way though ~ we saw a memorial for a teenager that had fallen to his death just 2 months earlier. There you go Jordan, no more dare-devil stuff, alright?!

Labor Day 2010

This Labor Day we decided to have a family barbecue. All the local Rileys came up. It was kind-of our last little harrah for Summer

This girl cracks me up . . . Her Uncle Richard calls her "Addie Gaga" ~ I couldn't imagine why???

Bree really enjoyed her cantaloupe

We had a balloon toss ~ it was fun & lasted a lot longer than I thought we would!

My Bree-bee just being cute (I remember when Addie used to do this same thing.)

Rocket Booster Test

Mom & Dad Riley came out to this last rocket booster test at Dave's work. It was pretty exciting! Here's a shot of us waiting for it to blow

The new designs

See how her garden grows

Dave & Addie harvested all the carrots from our garden recently. There was quite a pile. Good job guys! (we took the greens down to the horses down the road)

I Love my baby Bree!

She's been getting into Addie's dress-up clothes lately ~ but usually she wears this tiara up-side down

Sitting in my drawer while I'm getting ready

Hiding in my clothes

This is a curler that she had on her mouth for a long time ~ hee hee!

She loves to climb onto the window sill

Bree loves to "spin" right now. It's so funny! She watches me wash the table off & decides she needs to try. So she soaks her paper towel in her dish then wipes the table. Then she starts washing her face. What a ham!

Box Elder County Fair

We finally made it to the Box Elder County Fair this year. We really wanted to show Addie our neighbor's (Kirsten) steer. So we found her & she told Addie all about how she raised the steer & showed him at the fair. It was neat & we enjoyed the rodeo that night, as well. Good going, Kirsten!

Kirsten & her steer (he's a beauty!)

Just some extras

These are off of my cell phone.

Addie fell asleep on Grandpa one night

Poor Bree fell & hit her head on my friend's end table this summer. Her poor face was so swollen :(

Awwww ~ I LOVE that chubby lil' face!

New pics of the girls

My friend, Leah, recently took pictures of the girls. Check out Leah Monet Photography on my side-bar. She did a great job ~ even though Bree was "super" crabby that day (hence the "teary" pictures at the bottom). Thanks for putting up with us, Leah! They look beautiful!!
